Travelers explore Rio favelas on favela tours

More travelers are looking to see the Rio beyond its beautiful beaches and postcard images. Favela tours take travelers into the city’s notorious shantytowns and a few in the tourism industry are planning to expand development in some slums, even opening up a bed and breakfast.
